WFD Units responded to 2411 W. 16th Street for reports of a house on fire from numerous callers.  On arrival, Engine 6 found fire and smoke showing from the second floor and immediately began suppression efforts.  Ladder 2 provided vertical ventilation directly above the fire, containing damage to the room of origin.  No residents were home at the time, but their family cat was removed from the structure by firefighters and was not harmed.  Command placed the situation under control with no injuries reported.
